Here a hot water driller works to fix a leak on a hot water trencher. The hot water trencher was used to dig trenches in areas where there were already cables buried. The large cables were buried as part of the Ice Cube Neutrino Detector.

The level ingenuity and engineering that these folks exhibited is impressive. A true testament to engineering, science, and grit.
